Tanzania Women Initiative For Development Organization (TAWIDO) is a Non-Governmental Organization founded by women in 2011. Our goal is to promote health, gender equality, and human rights among women and vulnerable girls in the community. Registered in 2013 under compliance certificate No. 00NGO/R/0169, TAWIDO operates in Tanzania mainland. We focus on the development, care, and protection of women and vulnerable adolescent girls by raising awareness about their rights and opportunities.

TAWIDO operates a helpline/Call Centre utilizing Bulk SMS, Interactive Voice Response, SMS Chart Platform, and toll-free services to provide awareness, counseling, referrals, and linkages to services from a broad network of providers in all regions of Tanzania. We have extensive experience in implementing global HIV programs, offering services among high-risk populations, ranging from prevention to ART initiation, and combating stigma and discrimination.

Currently, TAWIDO is implementing the EpiC project in Kinondoni Municipal, funded by USAID under FHI360. The project aims to address critical gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among high-risk populations.

To facilitate the smooth implementation of this project, TAWIDO seeks to recruit qualified, experienced, motivated, and dynamic individuals for the following position:

Position Title: Volunteer

Duty Station: Dar es Salaam, Kinondoni

Duration: 3-6 months

Possible Qualifications:

• Studied Journalism, Mass Communication, Psychology, Community Development, or related fields.
• Graduates (with no work experience).
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in the mentioned courses.

Duties and Responsibilities will be provided upon selection.
