Job Description:

RKTC Overseas Investments Limited is in search of a qualified and experienced Agronomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be based in Mkushi District and must possess a comprehensive understanding of farming regions in Central Province and the Copperbelt regions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field assessments to analyze soil and crop conditions in Mkushi District and surrounding areas.
• Provide expert advice on crop selection, planting, fertilizer application techniques, and crop management practices.
• Develop and implement efficient crop management plans to optimize yield and minimize environmental impact.
• Collaborate with local farmers to deliver technical assistance and support through training programs.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of agricultural practices, recommending improvements as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in agronomy.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on crop performance, pest control measures, and soil health.
• Work closely with local agricultural authorities and extension services to ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of a diploma in agriculture or related field.
• Proven experience as an Agronomist or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of farming practices in Central Province and the Copperbelt regions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid motorbike driver’s license.
