THPS was formed in 2011 as part of the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) five-year strategy to transition from international organizations engaged in an emergency response to the epidemic, to indigenous partners leading sustainable country programs.
Vision
A healthy society in which every individual receives quality healthcare and contribute positively to socio-economic development.
Mission
To promote and support equitable, high quality, accessible and sustainable health services for the Tanzanian society and beyond through partnerships with governments, local and international institutions, civil society, private sector and communities.
