Standard Chartered Tanzania, whose official name is Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania Limited, but is often referred to as Stanchart Tanzania, is a commercial bank in Tanzania, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered.
Standard Chartered is one of the oldest International Banks in Tanzania having started operations in 1917.
When Tanzania attained her Independence, we were here! When Tanganyika and Zanzibar merged to form Tanzania in 1964, we were here!
We are, therefore, marking 100 Years since we first opened our doors in Tanzania. We currently have branches in all key cities of the country, and the Bank employs over 330 employees.
